Oceanic Community Titles

These are titles for players who run with us as part of the Oceanic Community, but have not joined Oceanic Warriors formally.

Guest
- Unregistered community member.

Member
- A community member who has registered with the website.

Emissary of (Kinship)
- A community member who has registered with the website.
- Representative of a specific kinship.

Oceanic Warriors Kinship Titles

Oceanic Warriors has been structured with the goal of maintaining activity and enjoyment within the kinship and community. For this reason the ranks, and their accompanying duties, are based around participation and contribution. Membership length requirements are used to give all players enough time to become familiar with each other.
Alt characters will also be given the same rank as a player's main, as long as the alt has the main character listed in the their kinship notes.

Ensign
The rank of Ensign is the entry point for new members. It's the period where they try out the kinship and discover if it is the right for them.
- Newly joined members of the kinship.

Kinsman/Kinswoman
This rank is for those who are mostly looking to participate in the activities of the kinship, but are not quite ready to take on any key roles.
- Two weeks membership.
- Registered on the website.

Captain
Captains are the kinship supporters. They lend a hand with key roles on hunts and raids, help out with staffing social events, and are often involved with forum discussions. As this rank is not available within the in-game kinship system, Captains are asked to list this in rank title in their kinship notes. The title will be visible on the website forums however.
- Two months membership.
- Registered on the website.
- Consistent contributions to the community in any of the following.
    - Taking on key roles in community hunts, events, or projects. Examples include being a group leader within raids, or support staff at social events.
    - Participating in discussions or projects on the website.
    - Helping community members in any way.

Officer
The role of Officer is one of initiative, as opposed to the previous ranks which are based on support and participation. Any member who has obtained the rank of Captain may elect to take on the duties of Officer at any time. Likewise, as their personal game commitments change, they may elect to return to the rank of Captain when they feel they are unable to fulfill the duties.
Each calendar month we ask that our active Officers initiate at least one contribution to the community, in any of the following areas.
    - Scheduled in-game group content on the calendar.
    - Social events such as parties, competitions, role-play sessions, or the like.
    - Contributions to the website, such as game guides, forum projects, community resources, or filling the role of webmaster.
    - Recruitment and orientation of new members.

Kinship Successor
The Kinship Successor is chosen by the Kinship Leader, and will become the next Kinship Leader when they retire. At this time the new leader will nominate a new successor, and so on. The Successor's duties are similar to the Kinship Leader's.

Kinship Leader
The Kinship Leader is responsible for ensuring the kinship, and community it supports, remains active and enjoyable for all. A simple description for a complicated job, and one which each leader must achieve through their own means.

Others
 
Administrators
The Administrators are a small core of kinship founders, who are currently busy with initial creation of the kinship structure and resources, as well as  establishing the oceanic community we support. It is likely this role will only exist at the beginning, for we are still a developing kinship by anyone standards. Once a self-sustaining structure is in place, the founders will be made honorary permanent officers. These players are Tailspin, Piccola, Cacofonix, and Makii.

Webmaster
